Roses are red, violets are blue,
It’s Valentine’s Day, have you got your boo?
OK, bad poetry aside, it doesn’t really matter at ComedySportz. Whether you’ve been struck by Cupid’s arrow or would rather see that winged nuisance fry, we’ve got a fun show for you. Every year we celebrate love by pitting the gender’s against each other in The Battle of the Sexes Show! So, on Saturday, February 13th at 7:30 and 10:00, it’s guys versus gals, as we seek to answer the age-old question: Whose funnier? Women or men. At our show both will likely keep you laughing.
And hey, if you are making it a date night. Check out all the dining options near our show. Make a night of it!

We love comedy, but the earthquakes in Haiti last week—not funny. That’s why this Saturday, January 23rd, ComedySportz Philly is helping out by giving relief organizations what they need the most: money. We’ll be donating proceeds of ticket sales to MercyCorps, a relief organization that is on the ground in Haiti. If you can’t make the shows, you can also donate through a page we have set up on MercyCorps’ site, click here to donate. We don’t care how much, any bit helps. So, come, laugh and know that a majority of your ticket price is going to help some people in need.
Mary Carpenter has been with Comedysportz Philly from nearly the beginning and continues make audiences laugh over and over again. With the bearing of great female comedians like Carol Burnette, Mary can switch easily between playing your woman next door, or the eccentric crazy character. She also runs the ComedySportz Education department, helping to train the public in how to do improv and bring the funny.

8. Memorable show moment: This Doesn’t involve me, but I remember one time a team giving clues for five thingz back in the days when we performed at the Bourse days. One of the elements to guess was the Kennedy assassination. The team reenacted it in hilarious detail including Jackie climbing over the back of the car. The guesser, Nicole Borrelli (CSZ alum), jumped up and down because she knew what it was. She guessed the location as a “Duck-shooting gallery.”
Another was at a CSz anniversary show when Jim (my husband) strutted out to promote t-shirts to the tune of “I’m too sexy for my shirt,” wearing a diaper and licking a huge lollipop. He then stuck the lollipop to his belly.
