WS03 - Acting for Improvisers
This workshop will cover a sample of acting techniques that improvisers may use to bring more depth and power to their improv work. Concepts will include stage presence, speaking voice, entrances & exits, using your 5 senses to create real emotions, making juicy offers, and much more! All in a fun, a low stress atmosphere. Improvisers with little or no previous formal acting training, as well as the “accomplished actor” will find something valuable to apply immediately in your work.
Prerequisite: This workshop will focus on fundamental acting techniques which improvisers can use to enhance their onstage performances. We will not be learning new improv games. No previous formal acting training is required. Minimum CSz level 201 and above or equivalent training from established improv training center is strongly recommended.
