Turn up the heat with “The Hot Seat!”

It’s a comedy show based on what you got away with growing up. Nothing criminal or catastrophic, we’re taking aim at the kind of the shenanigans that could only play out in 90’s sitcoms–and somehow your real life. Catch a team of improvisers using the Harold format to take an audience interview and turn it into some extra spicy comedy.

(Dir.) Keane Cobb is an actor, improviser, standup comedian and writer from Philadelphia. Keane has hosted at the Funny Bone in Albany, Helium Comedy Club and Punchline Comedy Club in Philadelphia and is a member of the all POC comedy troupe NYTEShift, the comedic trio known as Black History Monthly, the improv team Not Yet Rated, and a company member of ComedySportz. Keane previously co-hosted the podcast Alt-Black. Keane is currently the Diversity and Inclusion Director as well as an improv instructor at ComedySportz. Keane can be seen on the season two premiere episode of “Albie’s Elevator.”

What could possibly go wrong?

Society is shaped by new innovations all the time. In “The Next Big Thing", we get a suggestion of a new invention the audience believes would solve a big, modern problem. Then we’ll see how the future has shifted with every scene taking us further in time, jumping faster and farther until we reach a future completely reliant, for better or worse, by this world-changing thing. Yeah, it’s probably for the worse.

(Dir.) Michael Levine is a Philadelphia-area comedian with eight years of improv training and performance experience. Michael was the director of the Philly Fringe 2024 show “SUSpacious”. In addition to being a ComedySportz company member, Michael performs regularly with “The N Crowd”, and indie teams “Remain Dog” and “Just Friends”. Michael has also appeared in CSz shows such as “But Wait There's More”, “Puppets Here & There”, and “Improvised Star Wars”.
