FREE DRINKS AND A CRIME: "MURDER MANOR" CELEBRATES 10 YEARS!

It’s a dark and stormy night…six guests have arrived by invitation to a large mansion. No one knows why they’ve been summoned - until people start dying and their sordid secrets come to life.

It’s Murder Manor, a CSz Philadelphia original production and annual fan sell-out favorite! This year is particularly exciting, as Murder Manor is celebrating its 10th year with all kinds of surprises for the players and the audience alike!

Creator/Director Kristin Finger has seen this production through its many iterations and many casts over the years. Murder Manor is one of the only shows to have navigated the pandemic, produced online with a series of backdrops and Zoom screens. More and more costumes and set pieces have enriched the setting of the eerie mansion over the years, and as new players have joined the CSz Philadelphia roster, new faces have stepped into the roles.

Through it all, she has seen it evolve into the show we see today, deeply evocative of the hit 1985 movie with an all-star comic cast. The six guests with iconic color-based names, taken from the mystery board game, each have a reason that they are being blackmailed, and those stories come directly from audience suggestions. Each night, therefore, brings new information to light and binds the party guests together in new, inventive, and shocking ways. Finger also returns for the season as Mrs. Peacock, a character that she holds dear and has honed into aghast socialite perfection.

Of course, the Butler is there to reveal information and deliver a surprise or two of his own. Played by Nathan Holt, the Butler is a host for the show and then a driving force for keeping the players moving through the mansion, as surprise guests show up and people start dropping like flies. Accusations are made, lies are revealed, and chaos erupts as this high-energy and comedic crime "whodunit” unfolds.

Many returning cast members are familiar faces to Murder Manor aficionados. This year, as part of the celebration, cast members from all 10 years of Murder Manor will be featured! Many are returning to their previous roles for one night only as a special guest, and there’s an excitement in the air for the new combinations of characters and a spirit of reunion for a show that so many love performing so much.

To celebrate each night, there will also be free drinks available to all ticket holders. Each show will feature one alcoholic and one non-alcoholic free beverage option, one per customer, so that everyone can be part of the party. Each drink will be a play on the characters of Murder Manor. For example, the first week will feature Mrs. White’s Claw and Mr. Green’s Tea, all part of the celebratory nature of this Murder Manor run. The show is also BYOB and our concession stand is open for purchases, as well.

Can you uncover the real murderer in the hour? Time will tell! The murderer “player card” is selected at random at the top of the show and revealed at the end. This production is running four Fridays through October: October 9, 16, 23, and 30.
